boeing 747 price
To set the tone for sacrifice, should General Secretary Obama downgrade Air Force One to a smaller aircraft?

Air Force One is a Boeing 747, a hulk of an airplane designed to carry hundreds of passengers long distances. It consumes a huge amount of fuel to simply take off, making it horribly inefficient on short trips, like say General Secretary Obama’s trip to Indiana to pitch his pork package.

As a gesture of good faith to the productive people who will once again carry the burden of government pork, should Obama commission a downgrade of Air Force One to say a 757 or a 767, twin engine aircraft that would consume much less fuel as GS Obama continues his socialist agenda? With the recession, there are plenty of 757/767 airframes available at cheap prices. The 767 can easily fly overseas.

No, because Obama can only talk the talk – not walk the walk. He’s too arrogant and self-centered to apply any such notions of saving money to any of his affairs. Look at the inauguration. The same holds true for Nancy Pelosi’s 757

For the misguided answerer above: ALL of the President’s aircraft are security and communications capable as a command center.
