boeing 747 jumbo jet
Please Help. 3 Questions.?

A Boeing 747-400 Jumbo Jets has 2 nose tire and 16 rear tires. Each tire costs about $20,000.

a) What is the total cost of a new set of tires for such a plane?

b) Suppose an airline has a fleet of 400 such planes. What is the total cost of a new set of tires for all the planes?

c) Suppose the airlines has to change tires every month. What would be the total cost for tires for the airline for an entire year?
Yes, it helps, you’ll earn 10 points thanks so much!

Well, there are 18 tires per plane. 20,000 per tire.

18 * 20,000 = the cost of all new tires on 1 plane.

$360,000 for all new tires on one plane.

For 400 planes,

400 * 360,000 = $144,000,000

For the whole airline, which has 400 planes, you will take the last cost of $144,000,000 and multiply it by 12, since there are 12 months in the year,

144,000,000 * 12 = $1,728,000,000

Hope that helped.
